IHC Scott Delivers Healthy Bottoms to Denver Babies

The Rocky Mountain Diaper Depot devotes their time and energy to collecting and delivering disposable diapers to Denver metro agencies that serve struggling young families. Many low-income families live in circumstances that make it difficult or impossible to buy diapers at the lower prices found at big box stores or discount warehouses. Without transportation, extra storage space, or their own laundry facilities, many parents are forced to purchase disposable diapers at convenience stores within walking distance of their homes. This means paying premium prices for diapers, which can place a dangerous strain on already limited resources.

Recently, IHC Scott participated in the Builders for Babies Diaper Drive held by HomeAid Colorado, in which 1.7 million diapers and one million wipes were collected and donated to The Rocky Mountain Diaper Depot. IHC Scott provided a truck and one of their employees to help deliver, unload, and sort the donated diapers. Here is what Joan Youmans, Director of Rocky Mountain Diaper Depot, had to say about IHC Scott’s contribution:

“I just wanted to say thank you, thank you, thank you for providing a truck and Levi to assist the Rocky Mountain Diaper Depot (RMDD) at Friday’s Builder for Babies event sponsored by HomeAid Colorado.  The IHC Scott truck was perfect and able to take several pallets of diapers from the event’s warehouse to our storage unit.  Levi was just the perfect addition to our own team of volunteers. He was knowledgeable, kind, patient, and very helpful as we unloaded the seven pallets of diapers he safely delivered to us. His smile, can-do attitude, and gentle nature were very much appreciated by all of us at RMDD.

You have helped thousands of babies in the Metro Denver Community have access to diapers which will allow them to have clean, dry, and healthy bottoms!”
