Our Story
Built On Values. Shaped By Progress.
From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leader
Since our start in 1926, Clyde Companies has become a trusted name and is proudly privately owned, with a legacy of partnership, integrity, and progress.
The Clyde legacy started with the formation of W.W. Clyde, a heavy civil construction company built on hard work, integrity, and a commitment to serving communities across the Intermountain West.
W.W. Clyde purchased a small service station in Springville, Utah, and soon expanded next door with Utah Service, a hardware store and lumber yard.
Founded to serve the Wasatch Front with quality ready-mix concrete, Geneva Rock Products quickly grew alongside the communities it helped build. With the addition of asphalt, aggregates, and construction services, Geneva became a cornerstone in Utah’s infrastructure and a trusted partner in progress.
Beehive Insurance Agency was founded to serve the insurance needs of the construction industry and local businesses, providing trusted protection and peace of mind for the people who build our communities.
As the Clyde family of businesses expanded, Clyde Companies, Inc., was created to bring them together under a unified vision. With shared leadership and centralized support, the company ensured its founding values of integrity, quality, and community would guide growth for generations to come.
Sunroc Corporation was created to expand Utah Service, becoming a leading construction and building materials provider in the western United States.
To support continued growth, Sunroc Corporation formed Sunroc Building Materials, focusing on the expanding building materials market. In 2019, the company rebranded as Sunpro, the name it proudly carries today.
Originally known as Clyde Properties, GWC Capital was created as the land development arm of Clyde Companies. By preparing residential, commercial, and mixed-use sites for construction, GWC Capital works hand in hand with sister companies to spark growth and support sustainable community development.
Founded in October 2020, Bridgesource supplies high-quality fly ash, fuels and lubricants to customers across the Intermountain West. With distribution hubs in Utah, Colorado, and Idaho, the company supports stronger, more sustainable construction throughout the region.
GWC rebranded as Clyde Capital Group, strengthening its connection to Clyde Companies and reinforcing their shared commitment to building a better community.
Sunroc rebranded as Suncore with the same quality products, expert service, dependable partnerships and core values.
