As President of HomeBuilt, Clyde Companies’ retail venture, Chad Stauffer leads a team reshaping how customers experience home improvement—combining real service, curated products, and a culture of care for every kind of builder. In this role, Chad leads all aspects of HomeBuilt’s strategy, operations, and growth initiatives, guiding the company as it builds on Clyde Companies’ legacy of integrity, quality, and innovation.
Chad brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in merchandising, marketing, and product development. Prior to joining Clyde Companies, he served as President, Chief Merchandising and Product Officer at At Home Group, where he helped grow the company from 150 to 263 stores and more than doubled revenue to exceed $2 billion. His earlier experience includes senior leadership roles at Bon-Ton Stores, Belk, JCPenney, and Kohl’s, where he built a reputation for driving brand innovation, operational excellence, and high-performing teams.
Chad is a graduate of Brigham Young University, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in History. Chad and his wife live in the Utah Valley, where they enjoy time with their four children and one grandchild. A lifelong Cougar fan, Chad rarely misses a chance to cheer on BYU sports and enjoys athletic pursuits and travel.
