As Associate Vice President of Talent at Clyde Companies, Garrett Updike leads the enterprise-wide strategy to develop, motivate and retain exceptional people across all business units. He oversees leadership and talent development programs that strengthen the company’s culture, build future leaders, and help team members grow their careers within the organization.

With more than 20 years of experience in human resources and organizational development, Garrett is passionate about building a workplace where people and performance thrive together. His work focuses on developing leaders at every level, shaping the company’s talent processes, and advancing Clyde’s long-term vision for growth and opportunity.

Garrett earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame. His background includes leadership roles in the construction, higher education, and environmental services industries. Prior to his role at Clyde Companies, he served as director of human resources at WW Clyde.

Outside of work, Garrett enjoys traveling, sports, and movies—but most of all, spending time with his wife and four children. They reside in Lehi, Utah.
