OREM, Utah, May 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Clyde Companies, Inc. announced today it has finalized an agreement to purchase the assets of Desert Deep Foundations, Inc., a Utah-based piling and shoring contractor. The assets will be used in a new Clyde Companies corporation, DDF, Inc. which will begin operations immediately.
Prior to the asset acquisition, Desert Deep Foundations specialized in driven piles, including: steel pipe, H-pile and PCPS concrete, as well as earth shoring, including: sheet piles, soldier piles, soil nailing and shotcrete. The company recently worked alongside W.W. Clyde & Co. in Ogden, Utah, providing pipe piles on the I-15; South Davis Operational Upgrades project.
“In recent years, Desert Deep has been a first choice in sub-work for our companies,” said Clyde Companies CEO Wilford Clyde. “This asset purchase allows us to provide those complementary services in-house, enhancing our product offering and better meeting the needs of our customers and partners.”
Eric Hendriksen, former owner of Desert Deep Foundations has been hired as operations manager of the newly formed DDF, Inc. Many former Desert Deep employees will also be brought on to work for the new company.
