Clyde Companies Receives Business Partner in Education Award

CCI Chamber of Commerce Award

The Springville/Mapleton Chamber of Commerce honored Clyde Companies last month with the Business Partner in Education Award, the first time an honoree has been designated with the prestigious award.

Lana Hiskey, Community Relations Administrator for Nebo School District, presented the award to Elsie Powley, Project Manager for Clyde Companies’ Springville Rising project.

Clyde Companies has been instrumental in helping the Nebo Education Foundation raise funds for over 35,000 students and 4,500 employees in the Nebo School District since 2002.

Just over a year ago, Jeremy Hafen, President of Clyde Companies, reached out to professional golfer Tony Finau and his foundation asking for help to fund grants. Shortly thereafter, the Nebo Education Foundation received a donation of $10,000 for students.

On top of that, each year, employees and leaders at Clyde Companies help sponsor a golf tournament at Hobble Creek Golf Course to benefit the Nebo Education Foundation, bringing together businesses and supporters of education.

Additionally, Clyde Companies regularly donates to six universities in the state of Utah: Utah Valley University, Utah State University, Brigham Young University, Southern Utah University, the University of Utah, and Utah Tech University.

Clyde Companies looks forward to continuing its sponsorship of education by its partnership with the Springville/Mapleton Chamber and the Nebo Education Foundation for years to come.
