Snowbird

For 100 years, we’ve built more than projects — we’ve built better ways to do them. Innovation and teamwork have driven us since the start, and they’ll keep driving us for the next century.

In 1971, Geneva Rock helped construct the Snowbird tram towers — a job that pushed the limits of creativity and grit. The narrow mountain roads meant mixer trucks had to climb in reverse up alternating switchbacks, guided only by mirrors and walkie-talkies.

When the long haul caused the concrete to cure too soon, our team devised an ingenious solution: “floating the cement powder” until reaching the top, preventing premature hardening and ensuring lasting quality.

That commitment to finding a better way — to improving processes, materials, and teamwork — has always defined who we are. A century later, we continue to innovate for our clients, our communities, and the generations to come.
