We teamed up with Dream Center for their Santas Elves event and pledged to adopt 3 families. While Dream Center already has a strict eligibility process, we chose the families based on them needing some basic must-have necessities. I.e.. Mattresses, warm coats, gloves, snow boots and more.
We vowed to not only provide the basics for these kids, but we also wanted them to have some fun Christmas presents as well. With a total of 10 children to shop for, we had our work cut out for us. We were able to put some good piles together to spoil each of the kids. Our tireless present wrappers spent all of Friday afternoon wrapping each present so the kids had plenty to open. The following morning a Team of volunteers and a few folks from the Charity Committee loaded up the trucks and headed to Coors Field for the event. The event went off with just a little hitch but was highly successful all around. With humble hearts, the volunteers finished feeling a win for the day.
