Geneva Rock recently donated $2,500 to the Out Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to assisting LGBTQ+ students attending Brigham Young University. The funds will specifically go towards students pursuing a construction-related degree. The hope is this outreach will help build connections on campus to facilitate future relationships and career opportunities for these students within our organizations.
Nathan Paskett, field engineer at Geneva Rock and volunteer for the Out Foundation, said, “I help manage the scholarship program at the Out Foundation. It is great to see my employer supporting an organization/cause that I value and invest my time in. In my role, I’ll be able to make sure these funds are used for deserving students that are excelling in their field and who might not have considered Clyde Companies as a potential employer.”
At Clyde Companies, we value inclusion. One priority of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee is to ensure that inclusion is highlighted throughout each of the subsidiary companies. Showcasing donations such as this is an important step to demonstrate that we value people, one of our core values. It’s another way we’re helping in Building a Better Community.
