WW Clyde and Geneva Rock Break Ground on The Point Project

Clyde Companies was excited to be a part of the groundbreaking for The Point, a major redevelopment project on the site of the former Utah State Prison in Bluffdale. WW Clyde is collaborating with Geneva Rock on this joint venture (Clyde-Geneva) which marks the start of something truly transformative for the region.

“This is one of those projects that says that we are not going to be the most selfish generation in history,” said Utah Governor Spencer Cox. “That we actually are going to give back and make this place better than we found it. I believe that the Point represents the very best of the Utah dream and making that dream available for the next generation.”

The first phase is kicking off with the expansion of Porter Rockwell Boulevard, which will connect The Point to surrounding areas. With over 100 acres of space being developed, this project will feature everything from high-end office spaces to multifamily housing, retail, entertainment and even an innovation district. A new FrontRunner station will also be a key addition, making it easier for the community to access the new hub.

“We’re grateful for the leadership and vision our elected officials have put in,” said Dustin Olson, President of WW Clyde. “One of the great honors we have in the construction industry is getting to take that vision and hard work and putting it into the ground. We get to build the roads and the infrastructure that will allow the development to continue vertically, and we’re very excited.”

The development of The Point is meant to create a better future for the community. With plans to bring nearly 30,000 jobs to the area, the development will support both residential and commercial growth.

“We’re thrilled to be working alongside our friends at WW Clyde on this monumental project,” said Jay Ritchie, President of Geneva Rock. “It’s not every day that you get to be part of something that will have such a lasting impact on the community. We’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute to The Point’s development.”

Both WW Clyde and Geneva Rock are committed to Building a Better Community in all their projects, including The Point. Thank you to everyone involved in this important redevelopment!
