Michelle Vincent has become an integral part of Clyde Companies’ payroll department, ensuring that employees receive their hard-earned wages on time each week, without fail.
A Career Filled with Growth and Rewards
Michelle’s journey at Clyde Companies began 16 years ago when she joined as an accounts payable clerk. Little did she know that her decision to work in the construction industry would lead to a fulfilling and rewarding career.
“I never imagined myself working in construction, but it has always been a part of my life,” Michelle said. “Growing up in Orem, I was surrounded by construction projects and had numerous friends and family members working in the industry.”
Over the years, Michelle’s role within the company has evolved. She now serves as the payroll supervisor while spearheading payroll for subsidiary WW Clyde. Her responsibilities include processing payroll, supporting team members, entering timecards, and ensuring weekly payrolls are promptly sent to the bank. In essence, she helps give her coworkers peace of mind knowing they will always get paid. Despite the routine nature of her work, Michelle finds joy in the ever-changing nature of her job.
“No two days are the same,” Michelle said. “Even though I’m doing the same thing, I learn something new every single week. It keeps me on my toes, and I love the challenge.”
Building Camaraderie and Support in the Workplace
Michelle takes pride in supporting her team and creating a strong sense of camaraderie while Building a Better Community.
“I love getting to know people out in the field and learning about the challenges they face,” Michelle said. “Working through problems together and ensuring that everyone gets paid is what it’s all about. We don’t let each other fail. Ever.”
Her commitment shines through in every aspect of the job, making her beloved by her colleagues.

Embracing Progress: Project Flywheel
Beyond her daily responsibilities, Michelle is excited about the potential of Project Flywheel, Clyde Companies’ newest ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementation. It is expected to revolutionize the payroll department’s operations and streamline processes that have historically posed challenges.
“Currently, we use multiple different resources to complete our jobs,” Michelle said. “I believe Project Flywheel will enable us to centralize our workload and take on additional tasks in the process. It’s an exciting opportunity for growth and progress.”

Michelle firmly believes in the integrity that Clyde Companies displays. She has seen firsthand how the company takes care of its employees.
